  • ½ onion grated
  • 1 tbsp liquid smoke
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp adobo sauce from canned chipotle peppers
  • 1 chipotle pepper chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 cheddar slices optional
  • 6 burger buns

Instructions

  • Method
  • Prepare the Meat Mixture:
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, grated onion, liquid smoke, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, adobo sauce, and chopped chipotle pepper. Mix thoroughly to evenly distribute the flavors. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Shape the Patties:
  • Divide the mixture into six equal portions and shape them into patties about ¾ inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to ensure even cooking.
  • Preheat the Grill:
  • Heat your grill or grill pan to medium-high. Lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
  • Cook the Patties:
  • Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C) for well-done. Add a slice of cheddar on top during the last minute if desired.
  • Assemble the Burgers:
